Randy Bannecker

Randy Bannecker is president of Bannecker & Associates Public Affairs

Randy has been engaged in our region's critical issues for more than 18 years. He has extensive experience advocating complex, highly visible and controversial land use and public policy issues ranging from land use and comprehensive planning to wireless communications facility siting policy. He has worked on controversial and emotionally charged issues such as: affordabel housing development, sign codes, and landlord-tenant issues. He protects his clients' image while achieving political successes.

Randy is a leader in the region's business community who has developed strong relationships with opinion leaders and elected officials. His community service includes: Chair, Eastside Business Roundtable; Past Chair, Bellevue Chamber of Commerce; Past Chair, East King County Chambers of Commerce Legislative Coalition; Chair, Eastside Business Alliance; Past President, Seattle City Club; Past Chairman of the Board of Directors, Alki Foundation; Business-Sector representative to the Transportation Policy Board of the Puget Sound Regional Council; Member of the Seattle Commercial Policies and Code Review Advisory Committee.

Prior to forming Bannecker & Associates, Randy held governmental affairs positions at Washington Natural Gas, Puget Sound Energy and The Rockey Company.

Meg O'Conor Bannecker

Meg O'Conor Bannecker directs media relations, strategic communications and video production at Bannecker & Associates. Meg helps clients optimize their public outreach efforts through media relations, crisis management, media planning and video production. In addition, Meg provides media training to prepare clients for proactive media outreach as well as difficult interview situations.

With 18 years of experience reporting the news, analyzing issues and interviewing newsmakers, Meg understands how issues, people and businesses move from obscurity to newsworthiness. Through her work as a television reporter, producer and anchor, Meg became an expert at extracting key messages and translating them with concise writing and poised verbal communication. Meg maintains strong relationships with Seattle area media outlets and opinion leaders.

Meg has extensive experience covering health and medical news. Having interviewed hundreds of doctors, scientists and patients, she knows how to synthesize complex technical procedures and systems and explain them to a lay audience.

Meg lends her experience to a variety of important community causes that improve the lives of children.

Prior to joining Bannecker & Associates, Meg held the following positions: Lead Producer for KING 5 News Healthlink and General Assignment Reporter; Freelance Producer for NBC Nightly News; Anchor and Reporter for KSTW; Bureau Chief, Reporter, Weathercaster for WDBJ-7, Roanoke, VA, and Staff Assistant to Congressman Bill Carney (R), NY.
